A great opportunity is now available at Alzheimer Scotland, supporting our Stakeholder Engagement team raise vital funds to make sure that nobody faces dementia alone.
This role can be based in either of our city centre offices in Glasgow or Edinburgh. Potential hybrid working may be considered. You will also need to be able to travel to a range of other locations occasionally, as required by the organisation.
This Administrator role will focus on supporting people who are interested in taking part in third party/sponsored events to raise money for Alzheimer Scotland, or who have already registered at these events. You will play a vital role in their supporter journey with our charity, ensuring they get the information, items and help they need from us to raise as much as they can and enjoy themselves while they do it. You will often be their first point of contact, so you need to be passionate about providing first class care to our supporters in an effective, efficient and enthusiastic way.
You will also be responsible for data entry and management relating to third party/sponsored event participation, so organisational skills and attention to detail are paramount to this role. We want someone who understands and uses processes with confidence and can complete reports and tasks to a high standard.
In the role, you will also be working closely with the wider Stakeholder Engagement team, supporting the team on key projects and administrative tasks, as well as other staff, volunteers, supporters and external partners. You will be vital to the success of our activities – you need to be able to think for yourself and have a creative approach to solving problems, as well as anticipating the needs of the team.
We are looking for someone who is highly motivated, who enjoys working in a fast-paced, varied environment where no two days are the same. You will be comfortable working independently, a self-starter with great attention to detail. Successful applicants will have a positive approach to dementia, along with excellent communication skills and a caring attitude. A willingness to learn, take part in training and expand your knowledge of all aspects of our work will also be expected.
In return, we offer a fantastic range of benefits along with a supportive approach to work life balance. We are an innovative organisation, and this role is an opportunity for someone with aspirations to develop their career in the third sector.
