HR Assistant – 1 Year Fixed Term Contract
Location: The Priory, Canaan Lane, Morningside, Edinburgh, EH10 4SG
Ark is looking for a fantastic HR Assistant who is passionate about HR and service delivery to provide a comprehensive and professional administrative service within the People & Organisational Development team.
In this role you will work collaboratively across Ark on advising on all aspects of HR, translating policy in to practice and providing assistance to managers and staff in relation to HR practices. A large focus of the role involves managing the employee journey in terms of recruitment & selection, changes in their terms & conditions along with absence management and monitoring.
We are ideally looking for someone with a methodical & thorough approach to problem solving and a background working in an HR support role with solid technical skills. As well as having the ability to build effective relationships and demonstrate professional communication skills at all levels throughout the business.
The HR team works in a solutions focused culture and we would expect you to work on your own initiative and make decisions based on a practical understanding of Ark systems, policies and procedures. We are looking for a proactive individual that will buy into this culture and continually make suggestions to improve HR practices, procedures and processes.
Once we have you up and running with the day to day responsibilities and are comfortable with the workload then we’ll work together to look at your development and have honest conversations about your development and the areas of HR that interest you. We’re fully committed to professional development and are advocates of CIPD membership. We will facilitate your exposure to all aspects of HR so you a have a better idea of where your interest lies.
