Customer Services Advisor, Flexible working (Edinburgh Office and Working from home)- Maternity Cover

At Bield our customers are at the heart of everything we do. We are a non-profit organisation with charitable status committed to providing a wide range of housing, care and support services to enable older people in Scotland to live independent and fulfilling lives.

We are looking for a proactive Customer Services Advisor in the Customer Services team, to provide support to the Area Team in the delivery of strategic objectives, engaging with customers and internal and external stakeholders and the overall management of services within the assigned housing area.

The Role

Duties for this role include providing an efficient and responsive service to applicants, tenants, local authorities and other housing agencies, and members of the public in terms of both housing advice and housing prospects. Key responsibility areas include Customer Service, Area Management Support, Rent and Allocations Management, Quality and Compliance among others. You will ensure adherence to relevant policies, procedures, regulations and legislation relating to health and safety and equality and diversity as well as compliance with GDPR and FOI Legislation.

This is a Fixed Term Contract to provide maternity cover and it is expected to end in November 2023.

Hours of employment are 35 hours per week organised as follows: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm with 1 hour unpaid break.

Person Requirements

The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience of working in a housing management or customer service delivery role, strong organisational skills and accuracy in data input, experience of providing statistical information, exceptional numerical and excel skills and clear written and verbal communication skills, commitment to working in partnership with internal and external individuals and organisations.
