We are currently looking for the right person to join our Customer Experience Team as Head of Housing. About the role:

· Overall responsibility for a range of Retirement Housing, Retirement Housing with Meals and Amenity Services within a geographical area, broadly speaking from Argyll and Bute to the Lanarkshire areas.

· You will have responsibility for leading, developing and inspiring a team of housing and customer service professionals, ensuring that we deliver excellent housing and tenancy management services

· Engaging with customers, colleagues and external organisations developing positive and credible professional relationships

· Working collaboratively with Leadership Team to deliver outstanding housing services and contribute to the development and delivery of Bield’s strategic objectives.

· Leading specific projects or work streams i.e. void and allocation management, financial inclusion and tenancy sustainment to ensure the best outcomes for our customers and for

About you:

· You'll have strong leadership skills and lead on coaching, developing and motivating our teams who share our values and passion for brilliant customer care and will set colleagues up for success in their roles.

· A Housing expert you'll bring insight and knowledge to the role, making sure to strike the balance between providing corporate direction and ensuring effective operational housing management.

· You’ll have a comprehensive understanding of legislation, regulatory requirements and good practice in our sector and the ability to apply your knowledge in a practical sense and supporting others to do the same.

· Your knowledge and experience will be underpinned by a Degree in Housing, Social Care (or similar) and you’ll either hold or be working towards Chartered Membership of Chartered institute of Housing.

· A driving licence and access to roadworthy vehicle insured for business purposes is also essential.

We are currently working remotely in line with Scottish Government Guidance, although hope to revert to some office working through 2022. This role can be located in either our Edinburgh or Glasgow Office and there will be a requirement for regular travel across all areas in which we operate.
