HEALTH, SAFETY & COMPLIANCE LEADER

Substantive location is flexible but there is a requirement to work from one of Blackwood’s Offices (Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Glasgow or Dundee) at least 1 day per week.

Blackwood Homes and Care is a renowned housing and care provider within Scotland. We have a new, exciting opportunity available to join our Assets Team as a Health, Safety & Compliance Leader to deliver legislative and regulatory compliance support in respect of Blackwood’s housing, care and corporate activities and estate.


The Health, Safety & Compliance Delivery Leader will be responsible for the planning, management and delivery of health, safety and compliance works. The role will support Blackwood’s Chief Executive and Board in discharging statutory functions relating to health, safety and compliance and will act as an advisory function within the organisation.


The successful candidate will have two-years minimum experience in a relevant health, safety and/or compliance role in a diverse, multi-site environment and hold a NEBOSH General Certificate as a minimum. Knowledge of Health, Safety and compliance legislation such as Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and Display Screen regulations are essential as is experience in carrying out risk assessments.


You will be self-motivated and be able to form and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders as well as being able to work under pressure, effectively manage workloads and meet deadlines.
