Floating Support Worker – Glasgow (GLAFSW0921)

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who shares our values (Kind, Passionate and Creative) to join our service accommodating and supporting people experiencing homelessness and empowering them to thrive.

The position will be an outreach support role providing support to specifically support individuals in an identified temporary furnished flat within the local area. All referrals will come via Glasgow City Council and other referring parities.

You should be a highly motivated, enthusiastic and experienced support worker with the skills to be proactive and be able to use your own initiative. Ideally, you will have an understanding and basic knowledge of homelessness legislation, and a good understanding of support planning and delivery. You will provide support on a one to one basis with service users to meet varying aspects of their lives, including Accommodation management, Health, social & economical, meaningful activity and safety & security. You will be responsible for managing support plans and will facilitate / attend regular multi agency review meetings to ensure all aspects of support are being provided. This is a great opportunity to further develop your skills, experience, and be part of an excellent outreach service providing a high level of care and support to individuals.

Shift pattern consists of days, 09:00 – 16:00 and backshifts, 13:00 – 20:00 including weekends between the hours of 09:00 - 20:00.

If successful, you will be required to register with the Scottish Social Services Council within 6 months of your start date. After registration, there is a requirement to be qualified and to maintain professional learning.
