Lanarkshire Houses - Team Leader

Lanarkshire Houses is a residential care home that's a little unique: we're based over two sites, one in Lanark and one in Carluke, and we benefit from ten houses that our customers occupy rather than apartment-style accommodation.

At Lanarkshire Houses, we aim to encourage all our customers to live full and happy lives in a safe and nurturing place and we are looking to hire a Team Leader who shares our values and will support the Service Manager in delivering a service that allows our customers to achieve their goals.

About the Role

We are looking to recruit a Team Leader who will support our Service Manager in managing our teams and lead the way with this new opportunity. You will ensure that our people continue to receive the exceptional, person-centred support we provide. The role will require you to have vision and confidence to nurture service growth.

We are looking for someone who is keen to implement innovation while maintaining a positive environment and service. This role is ideal for someone who wants to put their values a vision into practice. If you think you fit the bill - we want to hear from you.

Requirements:

A key part of this role is to coach, monitor, mentor and develop the skill base within the staff team, you will do this by displaying Leadership skills such as role modelling, decision making, being an effective communicator, having a positive attitude, commitment and confidence in the role. Supervision duties and rota management are also required. Supporting staff to complete on line training and mandatory training will also be part of this role.

  • This job is based in Carluke and Lanark and regular travel between those two locations is part of the job, therefore a driving license and a car are required.
  • The ideal candidate will also have some level of flexibility in terms of the shifts ( including on-call and night shifts).
  • The candidate should have the SVQ Level 3 and be willing to work towards SVQ Level 4
