Community Integrated Care is recruiting for a part-time Advanced Support Worker with flexible shift patterns for 24 hours per week.

Supporting a young lady to live independently within her own home you will be prepared to ‘support’ and ‘enable’ her to do all the things any young adult would be doing on a day to day basis. Our Client is a fun, outgoing individual who enjoys the company of others. As an Advanced Support Worker you will support with social aspects of living as well as the day to day personal care and household tasks as expected. Living with life changing injuries is no walk in the park but it is easier if you have a staff team who are understanding, supportive and respectful – that’s where you come in…

Based in Bridge of Earn outside Perth this post would suit someone local or who has access to public transport or your own car, as shift patterns are 12 hours per day over 7 days per week so flexibility is key. Experience in a similar role is not essential, as the right attitude and a willingness to learn far outweigh past experience. A basic IT competency and a willingness to learn are essential, as part of this role will be navigating some high-tech equipment all designed to contribute to a better quality of life for the individual you will be supporting.

About You

The ideal candidate will have a Level Three in Social Care

If you do not have a qualification, you need suitable experience.

You will know how to connect with people and be passionate about supporting people to live independently. You will also be a brilliant mentor and share your skills and experiences with your colleagues.

We will develop your talents with a range of specialist training, including the opportunity to learn Positive Behaviour Support methods.

Some of the qualities we are looking for in an individual are; open mindedness, an understanding that everyone has bad days and good and someone who is respectful of personal choice and adaptable to a busy and sometimes challenging environment.

During recruitment you will meet the people we support in their home. This will allow you to see their wonderful personalities first-hand and fully understand the level of support that they require.
