Job Title: Care Assistant

Locations: Thornliebank

Pay Rate: £10.50 per hour

Mileage: 20p

Shifts available: 3 visits per day:

Morning: 8.30-10.30 (Fri 8.30-1.30pm)

Afternoon: 12-2pm Mon, 12-3pm Tues-Thu, 12.30 - 1.30pm Sat & Sun

Evening: Mon/Wed/Fri/Sat 5pm - 10pm, Tues/Thu 5pm - 6pm

Access to vehicle required: Yes, due to the needs of the young service user

Previous experience of working with adults with acquired brain injuries would be preferred but not essential.

Duties will include:

• Personal Care (bathing/showering/toileting/etc)
• Preparing and serving meals/snacks
• Assisting with medication
• Light domestic duties
• Outings with young service user; gym, rugby matches, art classes

Key skills and attributes required:

· No previous Care experience required!

· Caring, compassionate and a good listener

· An energetic, happy person who enjoys forming relationships with people

· Able to access a vehicle

· A current member of the PVG scheme or willing to register, be registered with SSSC or be prepared to register
