Our fabulous #TeamDalmarnock are looking for a new motivated and understanding *female colleague to join their team in Bridgeton as a Support Practitioner on a permanent full-time basis.

The Role

The great thing about this job is no two days are ever the same. You will be joining a dedicated team of Support Practitioners who provide support to six ladies with different levels of support needs in our twenty-four-hour housing support service in Bridgeton.

As a Support Practitioner, you'll provide support and assistance with all aspects of daily living, including cooking, household chores, medication, finances and personal care. You’ll also support them with their hobbies and interests too, which include going to the gym, horse riding, baking, arts and crafts and knitting.

About You

Don't have experience, don't worry, here at Cornerstone we recruit on values and transferrable skills. It's not about what experience and qualifications you have, we're interested in what you as an individual will bring to our team. We'll pay you for your training and give you all the practical skills you'll need. We'll even fund your SVQ qualification too.

All we need you to bring is:-

  • A caring and compassionate attitude
  • The ability to work well in a team
  • Great communication and organisational skills
  • A positive attitude with a willingness to learn
  • A creative drive to improve the lives of the individuals you support
  • The ability to cook (baking would be a bonus too!)
  • Confidence in the use of computers

Shift Patterns

Our team provides support twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, following a four-week rolling rota. Shift patterns will fall within the hours of 0800-1900 hours and our sleepover shift is 0900-0900 hours and will involve weekend and public holiday working on a rotational basis.

Our sleepovers don't form part of your contracted hours, so you will be paid an additional £84 for every sleepover you work!

We are looking to fill this vacancy as soon as possible and reserve the right to close our advert early if we find a suitable candidate before the closing date. Please apply early to avoid disappointment.

Do you have any questions? To find out more, please contact Jayne Moore on 07825050119.

If you’re successful in joining our team, you will be expected to join the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and must be willing to work towards a SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare as required for SSSC registration.

We will need you to register with the SSSC within 6 months of starting your employment with us.

Cornerstone welcomes applications from all sections of the community and actively seeks to increase the diversity of our workforce.
