The Role

You'll become part of a fun, friendly team who support 6 gentlemen who love getting out and about with all aspects of daily living, including cooking and meal preparation, personal care, administering medication and managing personal finances.

As a Support Practitioner, you’ll be enthusiastic and take an active interest in their hobbies too, which include listening to music, arts and crafts, going for walks along the sea front and dining out to name a few. We're also looking for you to be creative in identifying and sourcing new opportunities for the gentlemen we support to take part in to .

The gentlemen have their own mobility cars, we are ideally looking for people who have a manual UK driving licence with at least one year of driving experience, but this isn’t a deal breaker for the right candidates.

You don't need experience to start your career with us; we recruit on values and we'll give you all the training you'll need if you're successful. We'll even fund your SVQ(SCQF level 6/7) qualification too!

All we’ll need you to bring is;

  • Good listening and communication skills
  • A caring attitude and approach
  • A positive approach to learning
  • An understanding of the importance of routines and guidelines
  • The ability to cook
  • Confidence in the use of computers

Shift Patterns

As we're dedicated to providing the best support possible shift patterns usually fall into patterns of 3pm until 11pm with a sleepover to the following day then 7am - 3pm, and 8;30am until 3:30pm. Our day shift start and finish times can be flexible.

Depending on contract size, colleagues will work roughly 4 to 8 sleepovers a month. The sleepover part of our sleepover shifts are not included in your contracted hours, so you will receive an additional £87 for every sleepover worked.
