Are you passionate about social inclusion and ready to make a huge difference? Then we want to hear from you! You don't need experience to start your career with us, we recruit on values and transferrable skills. We'll pay you for your training and give you all the practical skills that you'll need. We'll even fund your SVQ Level 3 qualification too!

We're recruiting in Govan for outgoing, understanding and social individuals with a creative flair to join our fabulous #TeamBarfillan as Support Practitioners to support a young man who has just moved into his new flat.

This is an exciting, varied role, where no two days are the same! As a Support Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in supporting the young man with all aspects of daily living, including cooking, support to activities and appointments, managing personal finances and assisting with medication. You'll take an active interest in his hobbies and interests which include exploring new locations, going for walks, listening to music, watching movies and going to the cinema. With your guidance and care, you'll help him explore new activities and become an active member of his local community.

To be a great Support Practitioner, you will be:

  • able to demonstrate exceptional communication skills
  • able to build and maintain positive, respectful relationships
  • competent in the use of technology to enhance the support you provide
  • creative and proactive with a positive, can-do attitude
  • reliable and flexible to meet the needs of the people we support

Shift Patterns

Our dedicated team provides care 7 days a week between 10am and 6pm. There maybe times where shifts end a little later depending on activities. Weekends and public holidays will be included in your rota.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to a socially distanced interview at our Glasgow office on 25th July 2022.

We will need you to register with the SSSC within 6 months of starting your employment with us.
