Our housing support team in #Irvine is currently on the lookout for understanding and patient *female colleagues with a great sense of humour to join them as Peripatetic Support Practitioners on a permanent basis. We have 16 to 30 hour contracts available along with relief opportunities if you are looking for a more flexible role.


The Role


You will be joining our dynamic and friendly team providing person centred support across our two services in Irvine. The people we support enjoy getting out and exploring new places in their cars. One of the gentlemen we support goes swimming every week so we would need you to be comfortable getting into the pool. We'll be looking to you to take an active interest in their hobbies and support them with inclusion in their local community.


As a Support Practitioner, you will support with day to day personal needs including meal planning, cooking, support to appointments, personal care and medication. We'll need you to be flexible in your approach and be able to follow guidelines. This is a lone working position.


​​​​​​​For this role it is essential you hold a full, UK driving licence as the people we support have their own mobility cars.

To be a great Support Practitioner we will need you have the following qualities;

  • Great communication skills.
  • Can think outside the box.
  • Caring attitude and approach.
  • Positive approach to learning.
  • Full, manual UK driving licence (min 1 year driving experience).
  • Confidence in the use of technology.


Shift Patterns


Our services provides 24/7 care. Across the two services our shift patterns include 8:45am – 9:00pm and 8:45pm - 9am (Waking Night). Waking night shifts are paid at your normal hourly rate, plus an additional payment of £20 per night. For our other service our shifts are 24 hours, starting at 9am until 11pm (sleepover) then 7am until 9am the following day.


​​​​​​​Our sleepovers don't form part of your contracted hours, you'll receive an additional payment of £84 for every sleepover shift you work!
