We are looking for a Registered Learning Disability Nurse / RNLD or Registered Mental Health / RMN or Registered General Nurse/ RGN with a passion for delivering the best quality of care, to join us at our specialist learning disability service.

You will be working 40 Hours per week at Trinity House - located in Lockerbie.

Trinity House provides a supported, safe environment for individuals with autism, learning disabilities, physical disabilities and complex needs. The team can also support individuals who may have a secondary diagnosis of Mental Health conditions.

Your Day-to-Day…

  • Produce outstanding written reports based on your nursing assessments and observations
  • Work closely with the management team to develop the service, audit, and improve quality
  • Attend all training and engage in CPD to further knowledge and promote nursing
  • Under NMC guidelines, ensure that individual care plans are complete & maintained collectively with residents, relatives and other healthcare professionals
  • Administer prescribed medicines with Healthcare procedure and Health Improvement Scotland guidelines

An experienced RMN/RNLD/RGN with a current Pin Number, you’ll have…

Essential:

The ability to maintain documentation, undertake audits & demonstrate integrity in your role

A good understanding of the latest nursing practices

A commitment to patient recovery in order to effectively monitor, manage & reduce risk

Compassion, resilience & a dedication to empower & support service user independence

Desirable:

The ability to deputise in a clinical lead role

Trinity House consists of 2 services currently (soon to be 3)

Trinity House provides support for up to 11 adults with autism, learning disabilities, physical disabilities, mental health and associated complex needs.

The Bungalow provides a drop down independent living service for 2 adults with learning disabilities, mental health and associated complex needs, where they are supported to maintain and develop their skills with the support of staff.

Coming soon – Trinity Lodge is a separate service for adults, located within Lockerbie but not on the grounds of Trinity House or the Bungalow. This will consist of a 4 bed residential service for adults with autism, learning disabilities, physical disabilities, mental health and associated complex needs, who require a quieter environment. It will also have 2 independent flats which will be single occupancy for those requiring more intensive support.
