Our Service

Our An Cala service in Kinross provides care and support twenty four hours a day, seven days a week in supported accommodation for four individuals with learning disabilities and complex needs.

We also have a small outreach service providing support to individuals with learning disabilities, autism and mental health issues within their own homes in the local community.


About the Role

As a Support Worker you will:

  • Deliver a high standard of care and support for individuals in line with their outcome plans
  • Provide support to individuals with day to day living in order to help them to achieve positive outcomes in life
  • Support individuals with daily tasks including; cooking, cleaning, intimate personal care, prompting and administration of medication
  • Provide support and encouragement to enable individuals to participate and enjoy leisure and social activities
  • Carry out communal cleaning and health and safety of the buildings

About You

You will:

  • Be a good communicator, both written and verbal
  • Be organised with good time keeping skills
  • Have the ability to lone work and be able to work as part of a team
  • Be flexible in respect of shift patterns as these will include; sleepovers and weekends
  • Hold an SVQ 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent, or have the willingness and ability to work towards this
  • Be required to register with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) within 6 months of taking up the post
