The Service


As a Relief Peer Support Worker you will support the delivery of overdose awareness training to people at risk living in Dundee, as well as providing training and supply of naloxone.


Peer support is defined as the help and support that people with lived experience of substance use can provide for others facing similar challenges.


Working as a Relief Peer Support Worker you will receive training to assist you in your role. The post will provide an opportunity to network with other peers with a view to establishing best practice.

The Role


The Relief Peer Support Worker will:


  • Provide one-to-one interventions around overdose awareness as well as supplying naloxone;
  • Work as part of an integrated team to identify people at risk of overdose and work to empower people to make positive change.


You Will


  • Have personal lived experience of substance use and willing to share this experience to support others;
  • Have good communication skills;
  • Have good IT skills including having an understanding of basic IT pacakges such as word;
  • Be a team player and also have the ability to work on your own and use your initiative.
