The Service

Perth Outreach service provides Housing Support and Care at Home services to individuals living in their own tenancies in the Perthshire area. We provide holistic support covering needs such as learning and physical disabilities, mental health, drug and alcohol, financial hardship, tenancy support and transitional support for young adults into adult services.

The Role

As a Support Worker you will:

  • Take a person centred approach to maximise individual’s involvement and help them achieve positive outcomes in life
  • Be part of an excellent staff team which is friendly, supportive and professional
  • Work together with our team to provide the highest level of quality care
  • Beneft from an approachable and suppor time management team that ensure you have the skills and knowledge to perform your role effectively
  • Be open to further learning and development opportunities involving specialised training in response to the needs of service, for example, Introduction to Autism

You Will

  • Be positive with an empathetic approach and be highly motivated and enthusiastic
  • Have excellent communication skills, with the ability to lone work and work as a team
  • Be flexible and open to a shift pattern that requires early morning, evening and weekend shifts
  • Have completion of an SVQ2 in Health and Social Care, or have a willingness to undertake study to achieve this is
  • Be required to register with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) within 6 months of taking up the post
