We are an award-winning organisation who provide care to help support older people to remain in their own homes and are committed to providing a person-centred approach to enable them to lead an independent and fulfilling life.

We are seeking a Care Officer to support our Monitoring & Wellness team who will provide a high-level qualitative service on behalf of our service users.

You will be responsible for the effective monitoring, co-ordination and implementation of all care policies and procedures, ensuring that we are compliant with all aspects of care legislation, company policy and best practice.

We are looking for someone who has good knowledge of the care sector, who will be confident and capable of conducting checks within service users’ homes to ensure the highest quality of care is being delivered and that carers are meeting their needs. As the interface between our service users and support workers, you will ensure that our support workers deliver a high quality of care by conducting spot checks within service users’ homes.

You will be required to produce outcome focused personal care plans, undertake reviews, compile reports and action plans with detail and accuracy within appropriate timelines. You will ensure compliance that reflects relevant legislation and good care practice.

You will be a team player with excellent communication and customer service skills, be able to build strong relationships and have a positive attitude towards achieving the highest standards in service delivery. You must be someone who relates well to service users and their families and seeks to ensure that their needs are met. You will be proficient in Microsoft Office.

A care background or knowledge of care would be advantageous as would knowledge of the areas within North and South Lanarkshire and Falkirk although not essential. You must be a driver and have a car. You will be required to work on a rota 5/7 basis.

This post is considered to be Regulated Work with Vulnerable Adults as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scotland PVG Act 2007, successful applicants will be required to undertake and fund PVG membership.
