Job Title: Care Worker

Hourly Rates £10.02 - £13.36

We are currently recruiting support staff to help provide essential support to vulnerable people in their own homes during this difficult time.

Roles involve essential services such as supporting clients with personal care, assisting with medication and ensuring clients are safe and well in their own homes.

No previous experience is required and full training in all aspects of delivering care at home will be provided. This also includes infection control training, Covid-19 relevant training and how to use personal protective equipment provided.

You must be caring, compassionate, and truly dedicated to providing the highest quality of care to all clients. Oran Care are constantly striving to find ways to improve the quality of the care we deliver and this ethos must be reflected in your day to day outlook. A positive attitude with both clients and colleagues, good time keeping, and ability to address problems and tackle issues as part of a wider team effort is essential.

What we ask for

  • Genuine desire to work with & look after people
  • Willing to learn & eager to accept the challenges of working with vulnerable people who have Dementia or other illnesses
  • PVG for working with vulnerable adults and children (we will submit application for those without PVG)
  • Driving License is REQUIRED.

Hours

All carers’ work on a condensed repeating schedule as follows:

Week 1 – Monday,Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday

Week 2 – Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

Full time carers’ are on rota for the full day

Part time carers’ are on rota for half day

Carers are REQUIRED to work every 2nd weekend

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide support to service users in their own home
  • Promote independence in daily tasks whilst ensuring policy and procedures are met
  • Support and assist service users with personal care in accordance with individual care plans
  • Support service users in maintaining a clean & tidy home environment (free from health & safety related hazards)
  • Complete detailed record keeping
