As we continue to expand our model of care we have an additional opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse with QME Care based in Queens & Murray House, a specialist purpose built dementia care unit and residential setting in the Kelso, Scottish Borders.

A genuine passion for working with older people, dementia, cognitive condition and high quality nursing care are essential for this compassionate role.

As the registered nurse it is essential that you demonstrate strong ethical leadership skills to lead by example within your team and ensure at all times the care of our residents is paramount.

To lead a team of care that provides excellence in clinical practice and ensures residents’ rights to privacy, dignity, choice, autonomy and safety are actively promoted at all times.

Understanding of the importance of promoting a stimulation and enriching environment which support the health and well-being of all residents within QME Care.

To provide a high standard of direct nursing and supervisory care to residents based on the assessment of care needs and in consultation with the residents, their relatives and the care team.

Essential role information -

Registered Nurse reports to our clinical Lead Nurses.

Active NMC PIN is essential - RGN/RMN

12 hour working pattern as standard, flexible working schedule discussions will be held for the right candidate. There is an expectation that the candidate will work flexibly over day and night shift if required.

Previous team/shift leadership and/or management experience is essential
