We are looking for caring, supportive, adaptable, approachable, empathetic, fun and positive individuals. As a Bank member of staff you will cover staff leave, training, sickness and any other staff absences. Bank contracts are ideal for people who need the extra money and can't find childcare everyday. As a Bank staff member you choose what days you work, and you can work full time or part time hours, depending on your preference. The Senior Support Worker, who is responsible for the rota, will contact you to see if you are available to help out. As you are not required to do shifts, you can pick and choose the hours/shifts that suit you and work around your other commitments. At this time all new bank staff have to be drivers with access to own vehicles. Mileage is reimbursed at 45p per mile, for travel between resident`s homes. Certain services operate enhanced weekend rates.

We have a detailed, thorough induction for all new bank which must be met within a 28-day period therefore you must be able to commit to meeting this during induction period. For all posts the induction training takes place in our new Kirkcaldy office.

You do not need to have worked in care to apply as we will invest in your qualifications and provide full training through our award-winning learning & development team prior to starting.

About the Role:

Your responsibilities as a Support Practitioner could include:

· Social Support- Assisting individuals to engage with their communities by planning and attending outings to various leisure activities such as day centres, cinema, swimming etc.

· Medical Support- Administering and monitoring medication.

· Personal Care- Assisting people to maintain their wellbeing by promoting their personal care which would include assistance with bathing, dressing, arranging visits with the dentist/doctor, incontinence care.

· Practical Support- Helping people to maintain their tenancy by encouraging daily household tasks such as general housework, laundry, ironing, cooking, shopping.

All successful Support Practitioner applicants will be given a conditional offer- this is subject to the receipt of satisfactory references, PVG and a Covid-19 related risk assessment.
