We have an exciting opportunity as a Support Practitioner to support individuals with practical support such as personal care or helping to promote a positive, active and healthy lifestyle.

We support over 2800 individuals with a variety of needs, some may have physical and/or learning disabilities and Mental Health some with limited verbal communication and some with challenging behaviour. Each person we support is unique so each support role will be different to the next, giving you the chance to really make a difference in that individuals life.

Due to the nature of this role, we are looking for applications from candidates with driving licenses and access to own vehicles. Some of the vacancies are gender specific due to the nature of the requirements. This area includes 24hour services with sleepover shifts. Some services cover complex tracheostomy (full training will be provided) and candidates need to be comfortable with this. Please note that these posts are offered on a shift pattern basis and may include weekends and public holidays. Your duties will include, but are not limited to full personal care, administration of medication, moving and handling, supporting during meal times, household activities, and community activities, assisting in finances and attending appointments.

Previous experience in care is great, but a full training program is offered to everyone who joins The Richmond Fellowship Scotland, so even if this is a new career path for you, we would love to meet you. What matters most is that you have the right values and the right attitude.
