We are currently looking to recruit staff for a new service based in the Dennistoun area. In this service we support a young lady with a learning disability & complex support needs. With this in mind it's essential that the suitable candidate will have a background working with complex needs support and ideally will also have experience in providing CALM. The young lady has communication needs and is non-verbal. Due to her needs this position is female only and will require a level of personal care and PEG feeding. This is a 24/7 package, the shift pattern will include day shifts and waking nights. A complete training programme will be provided for all staff to include PEG feeding, CALM, communication, working with behaviours of concern.

The role of a Support Practitioner will involve practical support with the person`s daily life, personal care and helping to promote a positive and active lifestyle. Each person we support is unique so each support role will be different to the next, giving you the chance to really make a difference in that individuals life. We are looking for support practitioners who are able to follow a robust support plan and have an ability to manage risk.
