Why work for us?

We offer a Modern Apprenticeship for SVQ2 for new starts and SVQ 3 for staff wishing to further their progression through the company.

We spend so much time at work do not we, so our ethos at Sanctuary Care is to enrich the lives of both our residents and staff. We support all staff diversity and equality protocols and are encouraged to support each other and work hard as a team.

There’s loads of training and promotion opportunities available for those who want to pursue it and everyday job satisfaction at Kintyre House Care Home all regardless of role.

Sanctuary Care has over 100 care homes and you can ‘feel’ the difference a team makes the moment you step through one of our doors. The team at Kintyre House Care Home is special and we’re looking for special people to join us.

Where you’ll work

Kintyre is a home which is forward thinking and is developing staff and improving the environment as part of its journey. It sits on the bank of the Cromarty Firth in Invergordon and is easily accessible by bus or car.

With stunning landscaped gardens surrounding the home, we can often find residents sitting outside for lunch and taking part in activities during the warmer weather. There is also a gate from the car park leading to Saltburn Community Gardens, which has a wheelchair friendly woodland walk. Taking over in August, manager Joyce has worked in nursing and dementia care for over 30 years and is passionate about providing exceptional person-centred care that enriches lives. Her team boasts three dedicated activities coordinators and a chef of ten years, who prepares delicious home-cooked food. and we’ll have plenty to tell you about the location and life at the home over the coming weeks.

Are you our next Care Assistant? Here’s more about the role:

  • First and foremost – we work together as a team to enrich our residents’ lives – let’s support our colleagues too and have fun in the process
  • We give the highest quality of personalised care to our residents in line with their individual care plans
  • Leisure and social activities are a really important part of the day – so we have a dedicated activities coordinator who is promoting co–production so our residents live their best lives – as a Care Assistant we can thrive by being kind and supportive in every way to our residents, their families and our colleagues, then we’re all doing a great job.

What skills do I need?

  • Team work! A happy team, makes for happy residents and a happy home
  • Experience is not essential, as we will support you with all the training and support you’ll need to do the job, what is important is that you are caring, enthusiastic and have energy to share
  • Being able to communicate well is essential along with a flexible approach
  • You’ll also be kind and have a real genuine love for older people and their needs, ensuring we treat everyone with the respect and dignity they deserve.

We hope you feel you could be our next team member.
