Stoneywood Care Services provides a high quality of care and support for many individuals with a variety of needs. We engage with all individuals to support them to achieve their chosen outcomes.

We are looking for enthusiastic social care workers to join a team who motivate each other to provide the best possible service supporting clients in their own homes (in some packages 24 hours over seven days). This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a growing Housing Support and Gateways Support departments based in the Forth Valley area.

Your starting rate would be a minimum of £10.50 per hour but will depend on your experience and level of qualification. Contract hours would be discussed further at interview as these could be variable dependent on shift pattern and service user needs.

You should be flexible in your approach to work and be able to work as part of a rota across seven days including early starts, late finishes, weekends, potentially incorporating 12 hour shifts and (in Gateways) sleepovers/waking night shifts.

Ideal candidates should be good team players, be sensitive to the needs of individuals and colleague, have the ability to remain calm under pressure, be experienced in dealing with and managing behaviour that challenges, have strong communication skills to motivate other people and have an enthusiastic empathetic personality.

Stoneywood Care pride themselves on being an accredited Living Wage Employer and attaining gold Investors in People status. We recognise the importance of supporting employees both personally and professionally, therefore we promote:

  • Flexible working patterns offered/considered
  • Employee Welfare and Steering group
  • Reward & Recognition scheme
  • Learning & Development opportunities to support career progression
  • Healthy work life balance for all employees
  • Ongoing support to fulfill employee potential and to overcome any barriers they may be facing.

Professional qualifications in Social Services and Healthcare are highly desirable; however, the right candidates will be supported to complete these throughout their career with us. It is desirable that applicants have experience working in a care and support environment, however all essential training will be given during induction.

Our clients had said they would like someone with a bubbly and outgoing personality: who can understand different needs and will take the time to listen; who can support and encourage with activities around the home and out in the community.

Your responsibilities would include following individual support plans, one-to-one support and in some cases two-to-one support, medication administration, helping with day-to-day tasks (which may include personal care), promoting independent living within the local community, supporting individual outcome achievements.

We will require an update/registration of Protection of Vulnerable Groups scheme to work with vulnerable adults and will need to ensure compliance with SSSC registration.

Stoneywood Care Services offer a range of employee benefits including ongoing training, SVQ and personal development, Living Wage, generous annual leave entitlement, flexible working, family friendly policies, contributory pension scheme & a Cycle to Work Scheme.
