Female* Personal Assistant (Support Worker)

Job Purpose

Our Personal Assistants support people to lead full, active and socially connected lives, supporting people to achieve the things that matter to them.

Applicants should have, or be willing to work towards, a qualification meeting the standards required for registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).

Job Details

We have a lovely part-time vacancy for two enthusiastic females to join the team of Personal Assistants who support a young woman who lives in the North of Edinburgh.

This vacancy is for 12-16 hours a week (4 hour shifts) and there are two permanent contracts available although we would consider one permanent worker and a committed pool worker.

About this opportunity

This young woman likes her female* team members to have had experience in a support role and who:-

• Like music and having a laugh
• Are in their 30s to mid-40s
• Are good listeners
• Will provide her with clear boundaries and structure
• Will get to know her and encourage her to get the best from herself

Support is usually provided in the afternoons and evenings though there may be some days when support is required at other times depending on this woman’s schedule.
