Female* Personal Assistant (Support Worker)

Job Purpose

Our Personal Assistants support people to lead full, active and socially connected lives, supporting people to achieve the things that matter to them.

Applicants should have, or be willing to work towards, a qualification meeting the standards required for registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).

Job Details

We are looking for one or two Personal Assistants to join the team that supports a young woman who lives in her own home in the west of Edinburgh.

We are currently recruiting on a part time basis within the team.

The ideal candidate will be open-minded and able to provide a calming influence and have a warm sense humour & resilience.

To be successful for this role we are looking for someone with a strong work ethic and will carry out light to moderate housework as part of their role.

• This active young woman is a keen horse rider and enjoys working out at the gym. She is a massive Star Wars fan.
• She enjoys baking and cooking meals from scratch with the support of her team. She requires minimal support with personal care.
• Lover of animals big and small
• She enjoys good conversations about all sorts of things
• She is very close to her parents who she sees often.
• On a rainy day she loves exploring Edinburgh by car and therefore it is essential that candidates can drive

Shifts are 13 hours per day 9am-10pm. Sleepovers are available but not essential for this post. Driving license is essential for this position.

Support is provided 24/7 and shifts are planned on a rota basis in advance by the team.
