Female* Wellbeing Practitioner

Job Purpose

Our Wellbeing Practitioners support people to lead full, active and socially connected lives, supporting people to achieve the things that matter to them.

Applicants should have, or be willing to work towards, a qualification meeting the standards required for registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).

Job Details

We are looking for a female* Wellbeing Practitioner who lives in Broomhouse, Edinburgh. This position is for 30 hours per week with sleepovers as well.

*Exemption under Equality Act 2010

About this opportunity

We have a lady who loves being independent but also requires some support. We are looking for someone who can work alongside her, helping her on a future path to having more independence and needing less support. This lady has enjoyed living in her own flat for 18 months.

She is a very sociable and outgoing person with a good sense of humour, who loves art, music, singing and holidays. This lady also needs her own space and to exercise her independence, therefore, it is essential that the people who support her understand and respect this. Spending time with family and friends matters very much and lots of support to stay in touch with her family and friends and to enjoy activities will be required.

You will need patience, a calm and warm personality, and an ability to help organise appointments and support independent living skills and healthy eating.
