  • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday: 11am – 7pm
  • Wednesday: 12pm – 6pm

About this opportunity

This man is proud of his appearance and of the way he looks. He is sociable but cautious and likes routines. He also loves a good chat and is approachable. For him it is very important to have good staff and takes time to trust new members of staff, although he will engage well and will try to get to know them.

  • He loves art, history and learning new things.
  • He also enjoys computing, football (Hearts) and rugby (Scotland). The supported person likes to chat about most things and particularly like to have a good laugh and chat about football and rugby.
  • He loves his flat to be clean and tidy, enjoys going to the shops and at the gym. He also usually attends computing and art classes.
  • He's passionate about going to cinema, theatre and goes to rugby games when they are on. Temporarily, due to Covid-19 he is not attending any of these activities

The supported person does not like changes in his routine. He is fine with staff change the rota, but he wants to be aware of any changes ahead – otherwise he will get anxious. He generally dislikes unclear communication and people being late. He also gets confused with his medication, so it is important that staff are organised with that.

He uses a wheelchair, and requires minimal personal care.

A driving license would be preferable but not essential for this post.
