Care and Support Worker - Older People

Trust Housing Association has a fantastic opportunity for Care and Support Workers (Older People) to join our team based at Calton. We have permanent contracts of 16.25 and 23 hours per week and a temporary contract of 21.5 hours per week available.

· Competitive hourly rate of £10.50—£10.88 per hour

· 16.25 – 23 hours per week on a rolling rota between 8am & 10pm

What we’re looking for in our Care & Support Workers:

Here at Trust we are dedicated to making a real difference in caring and supporting people in their everyday lives. You would work with the tenants, to ensure they are managing tasks within their daily life including homecare support, personal care, and helping to promote a positive, active healthy lifestyle. Here at Calton, we support tenants with a variety of different care needs, some tenants will have physical and/or learning difficulties, limited verbal communication and brain related illnesses.

Your working pattern would be over a 2 week rolling rota consisting of Day Shifts: 08.00-13.30 - Back Shifts: 16.00-21.00/17.00-22.00

Care & Support Skills and Experience:

Ideally, you will have an appropriate qualification in Health & Social Care and previous experience of working with older people or other vulnerable members of a community, so you will understand their needs and know how to meet these. If you are successful in joining our team we can provide you with fantastic opportunities to develop your experience or enhance your career in social care and assist with your ongoing continued personal development.
