This is a rare and rewarding job where you, in conjunction with other activity co-ordinators and the events and marketing co-ordinator, are responsible for arranging and facilitating a varied programme of activities for our residents. Duties consists of planning and introducing appropriate activities for residents, organise in house activities that encourage socialising and are stimulating mentally and physically and arrange trips out and visits to places of interest. One to one sessions socialising with residents are also included within your job role. Aspects of this role will include developing creative fundraising ideas and determining how to use the funds appropriately to benefit the lives of the residents. You will need to be caring, energetic and organised in order to fulfil this role. Ideal candidates will be forward thinking, compassionate individuals.

Main Responsibilities

· Organise and facilitate full range of activities in-house, in consultation with resident and stakeholders. Activities shall be in accordance with the different needs of individual residents.

· Organise and facilitate a range of activities that can be safely undertaken outside the home.

· Keep accurate records of the activities including photographic records where appropriate.

· Constantly strive to improve the home through the activities function, demonstrating the value of activities for residents.

· Participate in training and staff meetings.

· Demonstrate responsibility for health and safety in the home and during excursions for residents, staff and visitors, reporting accidents or potential hazards to the person in charge.

· Adhere to all William Simpsons policies and procedures.

· Undertake any other duties consistent with the post.
