Domestic Abuse Support Worker

2 x 35-hour East Lothian contract ends 30.09.2023

This post attracts a Salary up to £26,236 per annum

We have two vacancies for experienced domestic abuse support workers. We are looking for feminists with a minimum of 2 years work experience in a similar field who will work using a multi-agency and trauma informed approach.

This role will be focused on working with women who are at the highest risk by undertaking the core functions of the Safe Lives Independent Domestic Abuse Advisor (IDAA) role. You will be required to work within the multi-agency risk assessment conference (MARAC) framework providing short to medium crisis intervention, for up to 12 weeks; the main aim being to work with women and partner agencies to reduce risks faced by women and children, and advocate on their behalf.

Both posts are available on a fixed term basis. Travel across East Lothian and Midlothian is required therefore a full current driving licence and constant access to a car is essential. Candidates must have a Membership of the PVG scheme, this is an essential requirement.
