Aberlour Early Years Outreach

Aberlour works in partnership with the local authority and other partners to support Children and Families across the Falkirk area. Providing a range of services which promote, positively support, and strengthen the capacity of children and families to reach their full potential.

Our services support families who may have a wide range of support needs, which could include concerns for child development, parental mental health, social isolation, and childhood trauma. The service works directly with the whole family in various settings, such as their own homes and our community-based family support centre which is registered with the Care Inspectorate.

What we are looking for....

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our highly motivated and skilled team to provide a personalised service for our families. You will have the necessary skills and experience to enhance the development of family function on a mostly outreach basis, however you will be expected to support in the provision of group work within a community-based setting. Experience of working alongside Health, Education and Social Work colleagues to improve life chances for children and families will be beneficial to this position. You will work 4 days out of 5 (Monday to Friday)

A working knowledge and understanding of the key stages of a child’s development, including early brain development up to the age of 3, the impact of family circumstances on children’s well-being and child protection issues is required. You will be familiar with and have experience of implementing and embedding the Realising the Ambition Guidance, and other local and national best practice documentation. Knowledge and understanding of the Five to Thrive approach would be advantageous.
