Early Years Outreach, Sustain Falkirk and Intensive Perinatal Support Services

Early Years Outreach supports young children under 4 years of age and their families. to ensure that children have the best start in life and that parents are confident in knowing how to promote their child’s development.

Our small but perfectly formed Intensive Perinatal Support and Sustain Falkirk Services provide complementary support- Dr Bruce Perry says that “the best way we can help a new baby is to ensure that their parent’s needs are met and their trauma attended to”. Aberlour has always seen the benefit or early intervention and funding from CORRA for two posts working across Falkirk enables us to provide this by supporting new parents pre and post birth. The work covers pre-birth up to baby’s first birthday offering strength based whole family support.

Our new Sustain Falkirk Service has been developed alongside Falkirk Council to offer caring and responsive support to vulnerable young people and families in the local area. The service provides support for families, when they need it, every day of the year. The aim of the service is to ensure that children and young people aged 12 and above, who may be on the ‘edge of care’ can continue to flourish at home, at school and in their local community.
