Blackhall Nursery is seeking an Early Years Practitioner to work in our highly regarded community-run nursery. The nursery offers funded early learning and childcare to eligible children aged 3 - 5 and is a partner provider with the City of Edinburgh Council.
Hours: 08.15 - 14.00 Mon to Fri, during term-time, i.e. 38 weeks per annum, plus 5 set-up/in-service days. Additional hours may be available from time to time.
The ideal candidate will be energetic, committed, warm and caring and will have several years' experience of working with children aged 3 - 5. You must enjoy working in a small team and display initiative in supporting children's learning through play in all areas of the curriculum, including outdoor play.
You will hold/be working towards/be willing to undertake an SVQ Level 3, HNC or other suitable childcare qualification. Membership of the PVG scheme and registration with the SSSC are required for this post.
