Are you an experienced childcare professional looking for the opportunity to develop out of school care?
We are in search of the right people to work with us in the development of our service. You will lead a small team and be the main point of contact for our families and the Care Inspectorate. We are registered to take up to 28 children each day between Primary 1 and S2, and within that can take up to 2 children of nursery age (from 3 years old). You will also be the link between the childcare team and the parent management committee who oversee the service. You will provide line management and supervision support to practitioners and support workers within the childcare team.
You will have, or be willing to work towards, a BA in Childhood Practice or equivalent and at least 4 years experience in an out of school or early years setting.
Errol Children’s Club operates as a charitable organisation and is an established provision in the Carse of Gowrie, hosted within Errol Primary School, where children can be left with trained, competent staff after school to allow parents to work and have peace of mind that their children are safe and well. The service provides fun activities and a great end to the day.
We operate during the following times during term-time:
- After School Club: Monday – Friday 3.00pm – 5:50pm
- Morning Club (this service is currently under review): Wednesday – Friday 8:00am – 9:00am
- We may also offer Holiday Club and In-Service Day cover subject to demand and available staffing: Monday – Friday 8:30am – 6:00pm
This is a great opportunity to be involved in developing the club and be part of our team, providing a much-needed service for families of school age children.
Successful applicants will require 2 references, one of which must be from your current or most recent employer, and a satisfactory PVG check. You will be required to register with SSSC within 6 months of taking up post and will be responsible for maintaining your own professional registration requirements.
This post is for a fixed term of 23 months in term-time in the first instance, with an initial probationary period of 3 months, paid on an annualised basis. If the club offers holiday cover you will be paid for additional hours worked. Consideration will be given for payment of travel expenses outwith Perth City or Dundee City boundaries and discounted childcare may be available.
