Early Years Practitioner

Flying Start Nursery are recruiting a highly motivated team of Early Years Practitioners to support the delivery of highly effective practice within the Early Learning and Childcare Sector in our new purpose built nursery in Darnley Glasgow.

The Early Years Practitioner will have responsibility for the learning and development of our youngest learners through the planning and preparation of stimulating learning experiences in line with Curriculum for Excellence and other national practice guidance.

You will provide support and care whilst promoting the development of independence, competence and confidence in our youngest learners. In addition, you will be required to effectively engage with families and education, health and social care professionals, as and when required.

Applicants must possess a relevant qualification such as HNC Childhood Practice (Formerly HNC Early education and Childcare), SVQ Social services Children and Young People at SCQF level 7, National Nursery Nurse Examination Board (NNEB), or Equivalent, as required by Scottish Social service Council (SSSC) for registration as a practitioner in the day care of children’s services.

This position is subject to membership of the Scottish Social Service Council (SSSC) and the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme.
