Vacancies have arisen in our Brightons and Larbert settings for a Supervisor.

The applicant is required to be qualified to Early Years Practitioner status (SCQF level 7) or equivalent. As this is a supervisor role the applicant will be expected to have leadership experience or strong leadership qualities. They should have an enthusiasm to lead, support and develop themselves and others. We would be looking for someone who is committed, is forward thinking, can work on their initiative and also as part of a team. You will need to be hardworking, motivated, organised and passionate about working with children both indoors and outdoors as well as having a good understanding of child development.

The candidate will contribute as part of a team to the provision of a quality early learning and childcare service for children aged 0-5 years and their families. They will work to the principles of the National Care Standards for early learning and childcare and abide by the Code of Practice for Social Service Workers.

The applicant must have good communication skills with their team, the children and the parents. The applicant must be able to provide accurate records of the children’s learning and development and have the knowledge on how to move that child forward. They must be able to ensure that the children progress through play with challenging and exciting activities. To provide planning which supports the needs and interests of the children. To work with both the Manager and Deputy Manager to ensure the children are safe and secure and have a sound knowledge of Safeguarding Policies and Procedures.

The duties of the post involve Regulated Work with children, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful applicants for such posts will be required to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member in respect of Regulated Work with children, or if they are already a Scheme member, be subject to a PVG Scheme Record Update, before any formal offer of employment can be made by us.
