Salary: £31,000 - £37,000 per annum

Pattern of work: Flexible within Monday – Friday. Occasional weekend working may be required

The GSC campus just outside Bishopton offers young people a safe, nurturing and caring environment set in fabulous grounds with a garden wildlife trail and outdoor sports facility. On-campus there are three secure care houses, a close support house & two semi-independent living cottages.

The Child and Adolescent Therapist will deliver a high-quality service to children, young people and families with complex needs within the Good Shepherd Centre. They will require to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide evidence-based therapies for children, young people and families. The role will involve a mixture of individual clinical work and involvement in the provision of group interventions, in addition to supporting and contributing to the provision of a trauma-informed service for children, young people and families.

The post holder will uphold and promote the ethos and values of GSC and be registered with the relevant professional body (e.g. Health and Care Professions Council, British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Therapists)

The successful candidate will have experience of supporting vulnerable young people & their families, are committed to Children’s Rights and have a postgraduate qualification in evidence based specialist therapy; accredited Masters degree or equivalent (for example MA/MSc in Art Therapy or Art Psychotherapy, Post Graduate Certificate / Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Postgraduate Diploma in Dialetical Behaviour Therapy) and/or an undergraduate degree in a relevant professional discipline (e.g. nursing, social work, psychology, occupational therapy).
