An exciting opportunity for an Early Years Practitioner - Grand-Y-Care Academy (Full time)

A fantastic opportunity to be part of an excellent team has become available at Grand-Y-Care Academy

We are looking for a qualified Childcare Practitioner (minimum SVQ level 3/NHC, or equivalent with at least 1 year of experience within an ELC setting) who is creative, motivated, dynamic, reliable, and responsible with a caring and friendly nature. They must also have a passion for working with children, excellent communication skills and be able to work as part of a team. Applicants should have good knowledge and understanding of relevant legislative frameworks.

Successful candidates will be responsible for ensuring the health and wellbeing needs of the children within their care are being met. They will help to create nurturing environments, be responsive to children's needs, provide opportunities and experiences which engage and support children's learning.

We are looking for a full time staff member to work with children under 5.

Rates of pay are dependent on the applicant

Grand-Y-Care Academy is a family run independent nursery and Out of School Club, we opened on 16 June 1997 and we are registered as a charity. We work in partnership with South Lanarkshire Council to provide funding sessions for the 3 and 4 year age groups. We provide care for children from the ages of 6 weeks to 12 years, and are licensed and regulated by the Care Inspectorate.

We are based at Hyndford Manor, 127 Hyndford Road, Lanark, ML11 9AU. The Academy and Out of School Care Club are situated in Hyndford Manor on Hyndford Road, Lanark, only a five minute walk from all main transport links and Lanark town centre. The day-care section is located on the ground floor to the right of the building where the conservatory opens out into a large outdoor play area, this section accommodates children from 6 weeks to 5 years old. Our Out of School Care Club is on the first floor where there are five large rooms to accommodate different subjects for 5 to 12 year olds.
