Early Years Childcare Practitioner

Great Start Childcare are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Early Learning Childcare Practitioner to join our team.

Requirements:

*SVQ3 in Social Services (Children and Young People), HNC Childcare or equivalent.

*Experience in a childcare setting is preferred.

*Knowledge of Curriculum for Excellence (early level) and pre-birth to three year old guidance.

*Successful candidates, if not already registered with SSSC as practitioners, will be required to gain this within 6 months of the date of your appointment.

You will be expected to:

*To contribute to the provision of a safe, caring and stimulating nursery environment for all children and families

*Work in partnership with parents and families.

*Provide learning and development opportunities for children.

*Ensure children’s individual needs and requirements are met daily.

*Ensure all children are treated as equals.

*Work along-side a team in order to achieve our aims and vision.

*Assess, observe and reflect on practice to improve continuously.

*Have a good knowledge of relevant childcare documentation.

*Plan, carry out and evaluate learning programmes for the children.

*Promote parental participation

*Create effective working relationships.

*Participate in staff meetings, planning meetings and other evening events within the setting.

*Follow the settings policies and procedures.
