Kelton nursery is a committe run nursery in partnership with Dumfries & Galloway council delivering high quality early learning and childcare to children aged between 2y 9months and entering primary one. we accomodate up to 20 children delivering 600 funded hours over a 38 week period. This will be inreasing to 1140 hoiurs from August 2020. We have a large welcoming playroom where chiildren access a wide variety of resources, promoting the eight areas of the ealry level curriculum for excellence, with a curiosity approach through loose parts and natural resources. We have extensive outdoor woodland area where we encourage exploratory and investigative opportunities.
The manger is responsible for the day to day running of the group reportable to the management committee. You will lead and motivate staff and be responsible for claiming funding and budget planning. Level 9 childhood practice is desirabe or be prepaed to work towards this required qualification. SSSC registration and PVG clearance is also essential for this post.
