Nursery Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Nursery Manager at Tom Thumb Nursery and Playgroup in South Queensferry to lead our experienced team of staff.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for managing Tom Thumb and the staff team on a day-to-day basis and to ensure the successful running of the nursery. The candidate must be able to plan and deliver high quality learning and childcare, which meets the needs of young children and their families and also exhibit a passion for early education and empathy with young children.

This is an ideal opportunity for a candidate with exciting ideas and real enthusiasm for creating a unique nursery experience for the children, as they will have a lot of scope to use their own ideas within the role.

They must be confident to work independently and have a positive approach. The role will involve all aspects of planning and delivering high quality child care as well as involving, motivating, and inspiring their team.

This is a term time position of 39 weeks per year, with the core hours of Monday to Thursday 8.00 – 15.45 and Friday 8.00 – 1.15, plus some additional hours will be required for administration and meetings. An attractive salary is on offer, subject to qualifications and experience.
