Duration: Permanent, Part Time - 30 Hours per Week

Location: Central Library

The post holder will be required to organise a citywide ESOL programme with a wide variety of participants.

Job Purpose:

To promote the development of Adult Learning in line with lifelong learning priorities.  To enable adults, through their participation in adult learning programme, to become successful learners, confident individuals, responsible citizens and effective contributors. 


The post holder needs to hold as a minimum:


PVG membership for regulated work with protected adults or, a willingness to obtain prior to a formal offer of employment being made.



The post holder is expected to demonstrate:


An ability to relate well to adults.

An ability to support, motivate and, where necessary, challenge adults.

A commitment to the personal and social development of adults.

An ability to assist individuals and groups to plan their learning.

An ability to communicate with a wide range of professional staff from a variety of disciplines and agencies.
