Duration: Permanent, Full Time
Job purpose/about the role
To ensure that the Caledonian System upholds the rights of the children and that their needs are met.
The post holder needs to hold as a minimum:
- Standard grade English or equivalent
- Membership of the PVG Scheme or willingness to become a member
- Hold a current UK Driving Licence
The postholder is able to demonstrate:
- Working with children who have experienced domestic abuse and/or other forms of abuse
- Multi-agency work
- The core components of Getting it Right for Every Child
- An understanding of the impact of domestic abuse on women and children
- An understanding of the impact of domestic abuse on mothers and mothering
- An understanding of the complexities of contact between children and fathers
- An understanding of child development
- Knowledge of the key responsibilities, duties and obligations of other professionals towards children
- Knowledge of how children may be used by abusers as part of their abuse
- Knowledge of child protection and vulnerable adult procedures
