Location: Kingswells Care Home
Duration: Permanent, Full Time
Hours: 37 Hours per week 

Job Purpose:

To manage the preparation and serving of meals in a nutritious, safe, hygienic and 
efficient manner.

Requirements

Relevant qualification in cooking/baking e.g. City & Guilds

Infection Control, Cooksafe, Food Hygiene or willingness to attain within a set period

PVG Membership or willingness to attain

Responsibilities

The ability to plan menus with support and guidance of the manager whilst taking service users’ views, wishes and needs into consideration

The ability to be consistent and reliable whilst ensuring that everyone is treated fairly and with respect

Recognises that customer service is part of everyone’s job and able to take into account the needs of the service and strive to achieve them

To work with Colleagues to improve the efficiency and quality of services

To work with the Manager to maintain and develop a safe place of work

The ability to work within health and safety guidelines, legislation and Bon Accord care policy and procedure

The ability to work on own initiative and as a member of a team
