Location:  Aberdeen City Wide

Duration:  Permanent, Part Time - 22 hours per week

Join the Adult and Family Learning team and play a key role to support the team in their delivery of 121 and group supports to families in Aberdeen

About the role:

Promote learning opportunities to individuals and communities

Access the learning needs of individuals and groups

Improve the literacy, numeracy, ICT and English language skills of participants on Family learning programmes

The post holder is expected to demonstrate:

Skills & Experience in:

An ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with Family learners

Being able to communicate clearly and effectively with Family learners

An ability to be creative and show initiative

Very good organisational skills

An ability to work with people from different organisations

An ability to support people who have barriers to their learning

IT skills for keeping records and presenting reports when required

An ability to be flexible and adapt approaches and styles for different individuals and groups

An Understanding of:

The needs of Family learners and the barriers and challenges some of them face when returning to education
