Job Purpose:

The Private Landlord Support Officer will work with local partners to create and maintain positive relationships to help the people of Aberdeen prosper. Working with a great deal of autonomy, the post holder will develop tools to raise property standards and management practice across the PRS in Aberdeen through positively influencing and engaging landlords.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

Academic achievement to HNC qualification or equivalent transferable experience and skills.

Experience of the social and private rented housing sectors.

Responsibilities

Source accommodation in the private sector for households who are homeless or threatened with homelessness to prevent homelessness and discharge the Council`s statutory homelessness duties.

Build positive relationship with landlords and local agencies to influence change in the private rented sector.

Work with landlord to raise the standard of PRS accommodation in Aberdeen.
