Location: Museums and Galleries
Duration: Permanent, Full Time (Tuesday - Saturday)

Job Purpose:

The purpose of the post is to assist in the running of the Museums and Galleries retail operations on a daily basis and to contribute to the effective development of the business to maximise income and profitability. 

 

Requirements

The post holder needs to hold as a minimum:
Educated to higher grade level or equivalent.

Responsibilities

The post holder needs to demonstrate skills and experience in:

Experience of retail administration, EPOS and Purchase Order systems or similar

Experience of stock control processes

Practical experience in dealing with the public in the customer service or retail sector

Confident and competent in the use of till systems and extremely accurate in cash handling

Experience of effective communication with a wide range of people both orally and in written form.

Organisational and decision making skills with an aptitude for negotiating commercial best value

Ability to work as part of a team or on own initiative
