Location: West Tullos Roads Depot
Duration: Permanent, Full Time
**This post works a shift pattern of 4 days on and 4 days off, averaging 38.5hours per week. 1 of the posts is early shift and the other is late shift**.
About the role:
The Roads Response Operative will be responsible for working as part of a team to contribute towards maintaining the road network.
Minimum Qualification(s) / Certificates / Memberships etc. required
Full Current UK Driving Licence with Class C Driving Licence and CPC Certificate
Plus one of the following:
Appropriate plant operators certificates
Demonstrable appropriate specialist skills
The post holder is expected to demonstrate:
Skills & Experience in:
Experience supervising and co-ordinating resources
Proven ability to work on own initiative within a squad
Proven ability to take a logical and analytical approach to solving problems.
Proven ability to support the management of works
Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proven ability to communicate effectively
Proven ability to manage a real time workload while delivering on key objectives.
Proven ability to carry out supervision
Proven ability to monitor and implement Health and Safety requirements
An Understanding of:
Routine Road Maintenance Operations
Responding to Unplanned Situations
The Basic Principles of Health and Safety
Health and Safety training

Qualification appropriate to the role as required. This may include winter maintenance,
traffic management, specialise plant operation etc
